Welcome to my artistic universe. Working with what others sometimes see as waste — magazines, fabric, archives — I
reimagine discarded fragments into new meanings.

——01 — VISUAL UNIVERSE

Shaped by the sea,
by silence, by what
runs beneath the
surface.

"I am interested in how images can hold something beyond their surface: touching on archetypal forms and shared visual memories that feel both personal and collective."

My visual universe is shaped by nature, particularly the sea, alongside an ongoing interest in human behaviour, social awareness, and empathy. This runs through my practice as a quiet but constant critical awareness, where artistic work becomes a space to reflect on collective conditions, power structures, and human rights without direct or literal representation.

This places my work in a space where artistic process and inner perception overlap. I am also influenced by surrealism and absurdism, where logic is disrupted and meaning is built through unexpected combinations, allowing different kinds of connections to emerge between images that would not usually meet.

I work with textures, fragments, and visual remnants that carry both personal and collective memory. Instead of fixed references, I build from ideas and tensions that exist beneath the surface of everyday life, using collage as a way of revealing rather than explaining.

Freedom in Fragments

A collage workshop developed around the memory of April 25th and the ongoing meaning of freedom. The project invited participants to reflect on liberation, collective identity, and personal expression through fragmentation and reconstruction.

Working with archival imagery and found materials, collage became a tool to question how freedom is represented, remembered, and continuously reshaped. The workshop took place at Jardins do Bombarda in Lisbon, as part of Collage Working Club — an initiative founded by Nina Fraser bringing people together through weekly collage gatherings.

Polarities

Polarities is a collage series built through the tension between two images only. The lower fragment represents the idealised reality often constructed and beautified by media narratives, while the upper image reveals the lived condition of vulnerability, necessity, and human struggle.

By limiting each composition to two cuts, the work exposes the distance between representation and reality — questioning how visibility, privilege, and perception are constructed through images.

Art Haus Club Mural

In August 2023, I created a mural intervention for Art Haus Club in Faro — a space dedicated to the intersection between music and visual arts. The work explored collage principles at a larger scale, translating fragmentation, rhythm, and visual layering into a spatial environment.

Developed in dialogue with sound, movement, and collective experience, the mural expanded my practice beyond paper, allowing collage thinking to exist within an immersive and shared atmosphere.

In progress.

I see my practice as an open process rather than a finished body of work. New projects emerge through encounters, places, and shared experiences — allowing collage to remain a living and evolving language.
